Smith Park Storytime
WE WILL MEET AT THE COVERED SHELTER BESIDE THE TENNIS COURTS AT SMITH PARK
Join us Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. for stories, songs, rhymes, shaky eggs, and (sometimes) a simple craft.
Everyone's welcome and there's no need to register.  

Drop In for a Story and a Cookie!
A quick story & a sweet bite, all after school!  We will share a fun story & a cookie - then, if you like, you can take a Weekend Food Pack and choose a free book to keep! (Food packs & books courtesy of the New Carlisle Church of the Brethren, Bethel Baptist Church, IMPACT Bethel, and the New Carlisle Rotary Club).

Color with a Canine!

Special therapy dogs from Best Friends Pet Assisted Therapy invite you to color with them this Friday, February 3, from 4:30-5:30 p.m.  Coloring sheets, crayons, and colored pencils will be provided! All ages are welcome.

Homeschool Book Club (All Ages)
Homeschool Book Club is back! We'd like to thank Homeschool Mom Candy Buffenbarger for facilitating, which makes this a club BY homeschoolers FOR homeschoolers. Homeschoolers of all ages are invited to join us on Thursday, February 23 at 1:30 p.m. to present on something you LOVE (a family member, a pet, a book, a hobby.) Multiple family members may present together

One Book, Many Communities
Beginning in March we are participating in the One Book....Many Communities book read. Our chosen book is The Widows by Jess Montgomery, a local author. With this in mind, we are doing a number of adult activities dealing with Appalachia and coal mining. We are having a discussion on the book, Mountain dulcimer performance, a movie about music of the area, an Appalachian dinner, a rag rug demonstration, a discussion of living in the hills, and construction of a rag doll. Times and date will come shortly.
